Requirements
- Automotive accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of CDK Dealer Management System (DMS) is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- High level of accountability and integrity
Responsibilities
- Process vehicle deal postings accurately and efficiently
- Assist with inventory accounting and vehicle inventory management
- Post invoices and maintain accurate financial records
- Perform transactional accounting functions and daily reconciliations
- Review and verify accounting documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain compliance with dealership accounting procedures and internal controls
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
- Support account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
- Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to support business decisions
- Work directly alongside the Controller and Staff Accountant
- Support various accounting projects and departmental initiatives
- Participate in process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Learn dealership accounting best practices while expanding professional skills
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
