Requirements

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of accounting experience in a financial institution or credit union required
Knowledge of ACH processing, NACHA rules, general ledger systems, and accounts payable workflows
Strong Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

Processing daily ACH transactions, including returns, NOCs, and settlements
Monitoring and reconciling settlement activity with the Federal Reserve, corporate credit union, and vendors
Performing daily, weekly, and monthly general ledger reconciliations
Processing and maintaining accounts payable, vendor records, and invoice approvals
Preparing journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation for month-end close
Ensuring compliance with GAAP, credit union policies, NCUA regulations, and TCUD requirements
Assisting with preparation of required regulatory reports
Supporting internal and external audits and regulatory examinations
Recommending process improvements and maintaining accurate, well-documented accounting records
