Accounting Specialist
About The Position
We are seeking an individual for an accounting position on our Team. We are looking for an individual with a good working knowledge of standard accounting practices, who will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks and projects for our businesses. Your work will directly impact our company's financial operations. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task, can work independently as well as with a Team, and has excellent communication skills. Requirements
- A good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with AP/AR reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with month-end close processes including scheduling and reporting.
- Processing and verifying invoices, ensuring accurate coding and allocation of expenses.
- Managing and reconciling vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Preparing and processing approvals and payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
- Assisting in the reconciliation of the accounts payable general ledger.
- Identifying and pursuing opportunities to optimize payment terms with vendors.
- Communicating effectively with vendors and managers, resolving inquiries and addressing issues.
- Ensuring procedures and policies are followed.
- Ensuring accurate input and documentation.
- Accurate and timely processing.
- Accurate reconciliation of transactions.
- Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned.
