About The Position

CJ Pony Parts is looking for an Accounting Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across teams to keep financial operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both accounts receivable and accounts payable work and wants to make a meaningful impact on cash flow and financial accuracy. In this role, you will support both AR and AP functions, playing a key role in invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 to 2 years of accounting or related experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities

• Generate and issue accurate, timely customer invoices
• Review sales orders and supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy
• Apply customer payments including ACH, wire, credit card, and checks
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and payment status
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Follow up on overdue accounts and assist with collections
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate aging reports
• Support month-end close and prepare AR-related reporting
• Process deductions, chargebacks, and resolve unapplied payments
• Perform three-way matching of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
• Verify invoice accuracy and enter data into the accounting system
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with warehouse and receiving teams on inventory and invoice issues
• Assist with payment processing including checks and ACH
• Reconcile credit card transactions and support expense allocation
• Help maintain accurate records and support process improvements
