About The Position

The
Accounting Specialist
works as a liaison between managing Backhaul Direct's accounts payable and accounts receivable records. The
Accounting Specialist
will process and monitor incoming payments and secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts. Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail with the ability to be accurate and timely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
• Proven customer service and/or accounting-specific experience
• Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis in Excel
• Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Possess strong work ethic and desire for continuous improvement
• Strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred
• Experience within the transportation and logistics industry a plus

Responsibilities

• Record day to day financial transactions
• Process accounts payable and receivable
• Handle invoice processing for Backhaul Direct when needed
• Build relationships with key customers to ensure Backhaul Direct is paid timely and resolve any concerns or delays
• Review payments received for application to correct invoices and review invoices prior to distribution as needed
• Execute administrative tasks, including document uploading and retrieval
• Display top-notch customer service skills when dealing with external customers alongside internal team members
• Work on special accounting projects as needed
