About The Position

The Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and accounts payable functions across multiple entities. This role supports financial operations by maintaining precise records, verifying data integrity, and delivering exceptional service to employees and vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in both AP and payroll systems, including Paylocity and Dynamics. This role reports to the Corporate Controller.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Experience in payroll processing and accounts payable functions.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage garnishments, and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions.
Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred and may be substituted for additional experience.
Proficiency with Paylocity and Microsoft Dynamics preferred

Responsibilities

Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees
Enter and verify promotions, transfers, and terminations in Paylocity and Dynamics
Review account balances, deductions, and earnings for accuracy
Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors
Audit and validate employee timesheets
Enter payroll data and maintain compliance with company policies
Manage direct deposit setup and pre-note processing
Process wage garnishments and maintain required documentation
Maintain payroll records, including salaries, bank info, and tax forms
Manage accounts payable for multiple entities and vendors
Process invoices, verify approvals, and prepare payments
Reconcile accounts and review purchase orders, pricing, and terms for accuracy
