This role, the Credit Card Accounting Specialist, is responsible for reconciling store credit card transactions and maintaining daily store revenue (Daysheets) reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Review Daysheet corrections submitted by Stores. Respond to questions from store phone calls.
  • Identify credit card reconciliation discrepancies, resolve reconciliation issues and document corrective action taken. Research transactions, lookup receipts, reach out to stores for information. Request edits and make corrections related to Daysheet information and/or Credit Card balancing.
  • Enter Store Daysheets and Deposit information into the system as needed.
  • Assist with account and statement reconciliations for credit card receivables general ledger accounts.
  • Process adjustments, such as issuing credits to credit card accounts. Maintain spreadsheets related to credits issued.
  • Prepare and post journal entries. Book accruals. Ensure posting to appropriate account.
  • Handle retrieval requests and chargeback entries from card issuing banks related to charges at all store locations.
