About The Position
Saab, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a driven and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist, AR. This role is an integral part of the Shared Services Accounting team and is a regular, full-time position. The ideal candidate will possess foundational accounting skills, billing experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Process monthly, quarterly, and yearly milestone invoices. Bill progress, cost plus, and time and material related contracts. Review contracts and purchase orders to ensure proper funding. Submit invoices to customers and upload invoices to external payment processors. Process intercompany billings. The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in an accounting discipline or business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Sound and consistent business judgment, with a strong understanding of company priorities and a sense of urgency.
- High level of enthusiasm, positive attitude, and flexibility to meet internal and external needs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
- As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite.
