About The Position

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a reliable and professional Accounting Services Representative to provide critical administrative support within our Finance Department. This role supports purchasing, vendor management, auditing, and administrative functions that ensure smooth financial operations citywide.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1–2 years of related administrative, financial support, or similar experience
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with computers, modern office equipment, and job-related software
Ability to obtain a Missouri driver's license
Ability to be bonded
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage interruptions in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Assisting the Purchasing Agent with procurement of goods and services and surplus property disposal
Supporting Office Center operations, including mail and postage processes
Administering the City's purchasing card (p-card) program
Reviewing and analyzing complex data to support financial decisions
Preparing and responding to fiscal impact requests
Managing Vendor Access in Munis for accounts payable
Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Conducting annual petty cash and p-card audits
Providing backup support to the Purchasing Agent when needed
Completing special projects and other duties as assigned
