Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX / SOC).
  • Proven experience managing financial reporting processes, including close and consolidation activities.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally to research, resolve issues, and improve processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy services, or health systems organizations.
  • Experience leading accounting projects or initiatives in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting operations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of quarterly reporting, standalone financial statements, and key internal reports.
  • Oversee the monthly close and consolidation process, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, cash flows, and financial statements.
  • Drive high-quality financial analysis, including variance analysis and insights that support leadership decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, presenting results, insights, and recommendations with clarity and confidence.
  • Ensure strong accounting governance, including application of U.S. GAAP, oversight of SOX controls, and coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Lead complex accounting projects, including technical accounting research, policy development, and process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Own key processes such as the annual goodwill review, ensuring accuracy, documentation, and alignment with standards.
  • Develop and lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth, accountability, and strong performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and other partners to resolve issues and strengthen financial processes.
  • Support enterprise initiatives and special projects, balancing long-term strategic work with shorter-term priorities.
