Summer 2027 Accounting Operations Internship
About The Position

This internship offers one-on-one mentorship, professional development workshops, sessions with senior leadership, and networking opportunities. You will be embedded within Lockton’s Accounting Operations team, collaborating on hands-on projects such as pulling workflow data, interacting with international teams, and running root cause reviews to help document errors. Interns will also work closely with managers in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, interns will tackle a real-world challenge in groups and present their findings to leadership, and explore different specialty areas of the business through presentations, projects, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled college students scheduled to graduate December 2027 or May 2028
- Student studying Accounting, Finance, or other related fields
- Knowledge of accounting practices and terminology
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship now or at any time in the future
Responsibilities
- Pulling workflow data
- Interacting with international teams
- Running root cause reviews to help document errors
- Collaborating on various hands-on projects within the Accounting Operations team
- Working closely with managers in Accounting and Finance
- Tackling a real-world challenge in groups of 2-3 interns
- Presenting findings and recommendations to Lockton leadership
- Exploring different specialty areas of the business through presentations, projects, and networking opportunities
