About The Position

The Accounting Operations Associate supports day-to-day accounting processes, including transaction entry, reconciliation, and reporting. The role helps ensure accurate financial documentation, compliance with internal controls, and timely resolution of discrepancies to maintain operational integrity within the finance function. The position is with CRC Group, an independent specialty insurance brokerage and underwriting distributor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance operations within a corporate environment.
• Experience with accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and spreadsheet tools.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving transaction discrepancies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts, and identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
• Prepare standard financial reports and maintain organized records in compliance with internal policies.
• Support internal and external audit requests by compiling accurate data and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve routine accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
