About The Position

Reflection is seeking its first dedicated accounting hire to fill the role of Accounting Manager. This foundational position will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-growth, venture-backed companies and be comfortable building processes from scratch in an unstructured environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape the accounting function of a rapidly growing AI company.

Requirements

  • Experience as an early accounting hire at a high-growth, venture-backed company
  • 4-8 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Multi-entity and international accounting experience (intercompany, multi-currency, statutory reporting)
  • Track record of building processes from scratch in an unstructured environment
  • Experience implementing new tools, including ERP/system of record migrations
  • Comfortable being deeply hands-on while also thinking strategically
  • CPA or equivalent qualification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly close and bookkeeping processes, including coordinating across entities for accurate and timely financials.
  • Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, from vendor onboarding to payment runs and reconciliation.
  • Manage payroll for US and UK entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax withholdings and benefits deductions.
  • Administer employee expense approval workflows, policy enforcement, and reimbursement processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax filings and compliance obligations across jurisdictions, managing external tax advisors.
  • Coordinate prospective audits for US and UK entities, preparing documentation and liaising with auditors.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of systems changes, such as ERP migrations, to support accounting needs.
  • Provide treasury reporting and support liquidity management across entities and currencies.
