About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the month-end close process, coordinating external and internal audits, overseeing insurance reporting and compliance, and ensuring the integrity of the segment's financial reporting. This role partners closely with Finance Controllers and business leadership to provide timely, accurate financial information while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience leading month-end close and coordinating external audits.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with finance leadership and cross-functional business teams.

  • Experience with insurance reporting, risk management support, or corporate compliance reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Review and analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate key drivers to the North America CFO and leadership team.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Coordinate all external and internal audit activities, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit requests.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of insurance reporting, including exposure data, claims support, renewals, and other information requested by corporate risk management and insurance carriers.
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process by providing historical financial analysis and accounting guidance.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and controls.
  • Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards as needed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Support special projects, system implementations, and other strategic finance initiatives as assigned by the North America CFO.
