About The Position

EDIFI Credit Union is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join their team at the Corporate Center in Willingboro, NJ. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable accounting information and reporting on income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and capital for management planning, budgeting, decision making, and financial reporting requirements. The Accounting Manager will also reconcile GL and bank accounts, ensure adherence to GAAP, and lead and supervise accounting staff. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting mandatory.
  • Must possess advanced knowledge and understanding of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial management.
  • A minimum of five years of accounting and management experience in a credit union or financial service institution is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing personnel through effective coaching, constructive feedback, performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and day-to-day operational leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce Excel documents, pivots, v-lookups, spreadsheets, databases, etc., with Windows ‐ based software.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills in person, by telephone, and in writing.
  • Well established interpersonal skills, including ability to interact with others respectfully and professionally, active listening skills, adaptability, and the ability to build positive relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA with an accounting concentration or CPA highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reliable accounting information and reporting on income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and capital for management planning, budgeting, decision making and for the fulfillment of financial reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile GL and bank accounts.
  • Ensure that reports, accounts, systems, policies, and practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Lead and supervise the accounting staff, overseeing employee performance, scheduling, timekeeping, workflow management, training, and the efficient execution of accounting operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
