About The Position

While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the financial expertise. In this role, you will be a key leader and the primary architect of the organization’s financial integrity, accuracy, and operational timeliness. You will act as the bridge between financial strategy and day-to-day operations, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
• You must have a CPA designation (or be actively pursuing one).
• A "Can-Do" attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities with precision in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in landscaping or construction industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry tools like Aspire, Fleetio, or ADP is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring every detail is accurate and deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements and variance reports (actuals vs. budget) to support high-level management decision-making.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions while monitoring cash flow to support our operational needs.
• Continuously improve accounting policies and internal controls, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency across the board.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team while liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
