About The Position

The Accounting Manager supports the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and the monthly close. This role helps ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial information while leading and developing accounting staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
At least two years of experience at the Senior Accountant level or above
Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with senior leaders

Nice To Haves

Aviation or aerospace industry experience
CPA or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

Support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting
Manage monthly close in FloQast and preparation of financial statements including TB flux analysis
Oversee general ledger activity and coordinate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Ensure transactions and account reconciliations are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP
Support audits and compliance with applicable regulatory and tax requirements
Provide clear financial information and respond to requests from business leaders
Supervise, coach, and develop assigned accounting team members
Perform other duties as assigned
