Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 7-10 years of accounting experience. Experience within an international company is a plus.
  • Bilingual in French and English (a good level of English is required to communicate effectively with teams abroad).
  • Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables).
  • Recognized for your dynamism, availability, and empathy. You are also someone who adapts quickly to change, and implementing processes does not scare you.
  • Experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including billing and payments.
  • Adaptability, ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, and flexibility to assist your team as needed.
  • Strong prioritization, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/Accountant title is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, with three levels of reporting: local, regional, and central.
  • Prepare the fixed assets schedule and record the corresponding accounting entries.
  • Prepare documentation necessary for audits (internal and external).
  • Analyze (justify variances from the budget) and reconcile various general ledger accounts and bank accounts.
  • Ensure the production and updating of reports on accounts payable, receivable, and intercompany transactions.
  • Handle month-end provisions for financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare the report for monthly GST/QST payments.
  • Provide expertise and support to the team to apply best practices within the department.
