About The Position

Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager who will oversee all accounting and financial operations for the assigned site, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial leadership in support of site and company objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years of leadership experience
• OR
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 years of leadership experience
• Advanced knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Strong analytical, communication, and people management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relational databases
• Knowledge of State regulations related to mining operations, accounting, and auditing

• Previous mining industry experience

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all accounting and financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, AP/AR, audits, taxes, cost analysis, and fixed assets
• Prepare profit and loss statements, forecasts, historical data, and annual budgets; support variance analysis and cost reduction efforts
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and State and Federal regulations
• Partner with site leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and operational decision-making
• Lead, develop, and evaluate accounting staff; provide direction and oversight
• Support vendor selection and contracts for financial and accounting services
• Represent the site on company initiatives and steering teams
• Perform other related duties as assigned
