About The Position

Responsible for the management and control of general ledger, property assets and the accounting for specific purpose funds. Primary functions involve financial statements and report preparation. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

Requirements

Three (3) years progressive experience in a financial setting with supervisory/management exposure.
Strong computer, organizational, oral and written communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the timely generation of financial statements, with constant re-engineering of the month end process to expedite the availability of the facility’s operating figures.
Generates information for year-end audits by hospital auditors, third parties, and other taxing entities.
Reconciles all EMH and EMRMC balance sheet accounts monthly including bank reconciliation.
Manages the additions/revisions of computer revenue/expense centers which make up the composition of the facility’s statements.
Trains departmental staff and recommends appropriate continuing education to further develop Associates, as well as themselves.
Works with outside accounting and management consulting firms relative to designated projects.
