Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, including hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies in financial records.
  • A proven track record of driving process improvements and innovative initiatives that enhance efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and accounting software (Sage Intacct or similar).
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a passion for collaboration across teams.
  • A strong sense of confidentiality, professionalism, and a solid work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, guiding a talented team responsible for billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closings, ensuring our general ledger is spot-on while preparing and analyzing financials with precision.
  • Manage our treasury function, championing internal controls that prevent fraudulent activity and protect our financial integrity.
  • Manage accounts receivable, proactively following up on delinquent payments and delivering key reports to executive leadership.
  • Work closely with department heads to analyze financial variances, uncover insights, and suggest solutions that drive performance improvements.
  • Be the go-to person for resolving billing inquiries with customers and vendors, providing top-tier service and timely responses.
  • Ensure all external reporting requirements are met, preparing and filing reports in line with statutory and covenant obligations.
  • Identify ways to boost efficiency and streamline processes within accounting and financial reporting.
  • Lead initiatives to improve automation and adopt best practices.
  • Take charge of the annual budgeting process, collaborating across departments to ensure alignment with the company’s goals.
  • Assist with evaluating exciting acquisition opportunities and contribute to special projects that make a real difference in our organization.
