The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting function and ensure accounts are finalized within set deadlines and according to the company’s accounting regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting is required.
  • Minimum5+ years related experience; public accounting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of complex journal entries and reconciliations
  • Strong Excel skills are required (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation or in pursuit of is a plus
  • Experience in a technology, managed services, or professional services environment preferred; familiarity with recurring revenue and service-based billing models a plus
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct is preferred; hands-on experience managing the general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close within the platform.
  • Experience with ConnectWise (Manage and/or Automate) is preferred; ability to extract, reconcile, and report on financial data from the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the company’s financial and accounting policies, documentation, workflows, and methods after consultation with the Controller and/or CFO.
  • Ensuring that all accounting processes and transactions align with GAAP and Company’s policies, including GL accounts reconciliations and journal entries preparation and related support.
  • Assist the Controller and CFO managing the company’s external audit, including the aggregation and review of requested documents.
  • Assist with providing data to tax partners to ensure timely and accurate tax returns
  • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records throughout the year to ensure workpapers, narratives, and close documentation are audit ready.
  • Coordinate Corporate Compliance on business insurance process & audit and state registration compliance.
  • Maintain the accounting close check list to ensure books are closed timely and accurately, which includes cross-functional coordination to ensure close deadlines are met.
  • Evaluating, developing, and continuously improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Resource for GAAP accounting and best practices to the financial accounting team members.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
