About The Position

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting the Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation (PVCC) CFO on a wide variety of fiscal responsibilities to maintain the financial integrity of the organization. This position will work approximately 20 - 25 hours per week (hybrid role).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a staff accountant or comparable accounting role
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle and protect confidential information, including donor information, employee information, and financial data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Quickbooks, ADP and Bill.com preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the establishment, maintenance, and ongoing modification of employee accounts across payroll (ADP) and benefits platforms.
  • Execute bi-weekly payroll cycle with high accuracy, including the management of tax withholdings, garnishments, and 403(b) contributions.
  • Manage the timely filing of annual information returns including 1099-NEC/MISC processing.
  • Oversee accounts payable process up to payment initiation, ensuring accurate coding and adherence to internal approval hierarchies (with vendor invoices in BILL.com and company credit card charges in Quickbooks).
  • Prepare periodic budget-to-actual reports for individual departments and for full organization.
  • Collaborate with members of the marketing team to complete monthly, quarterly and annual grant reports (Phlash Program).
  • Manage invoicing for services provided to external stakeholders.
  • Accurately record bank deposits within Quickbooks for designated departments.
  • Monitor and analyze receivables.
  • Manage Engagement & Experience Department internal budgeting and contracts with third parties.
  • Manage various trackers including donor subledger; facilities rental payments; program sponsor list and payroll adjustments.
  • Other financial administration, reporting and analysis as needed.
