Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate, public, or non-profit accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience mentoring or training staff is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting to support strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, tax regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, promoting best practices in financial management.
- Prepare and interpret financial reports for management and collaborate with external auditors.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, etc.) for efficient operations.
