About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting for 1st Choice Delivery. This position oversees daily accounting operations, manages the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and provides leadership and development to the accounting team. Working closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Operations, Treasury, and executive leadership, this role helps maintain U.S. GAAP compliance, strengthen internal controls, and support financial and operational decision-making. Responsibilities also include contributing to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and acquisitions. In addition, the position plays a key role in 1st Choice Delivery’s transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite and drives ongoing improvements to accounting systems, reporting, and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of eight years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated experience leading financial close and reporting processes
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, actionable recommendations
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative customer-service mindset
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the accuracy, discretion, and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations for 1st Choice Delivery, ensuring accurate records and compliance with Company policies and U.S. GAAP
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and deliver timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff supporting billing, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and general accounting
• Support 1st Choice Delivery's conversion from QuickBooks to NetSuite, including design, testing, implementation, reporting, and troubleshooting
• Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, internal controls, accounting policies, standard operating procedures, and reporting workflows
• Analyze financial statements and variances; partner across departments on budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making
• Monitor accounts receivable, collections, cash flow, treasury activities, and working capital; take appropriate action on past-due balances
• Coordinate audit and tax preparation support and integrate financial reporting for newly acquired companies
