About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Consultant with strong ERP implementation experience to support a critical transformation initiative. This individual will play a key role in the transition from PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion, with a primary focus on driving adoption, improving usability for accounting teams, and ensuring accurate, audit-ready financial data. This is a highly visible, consultant-style role ideal for someone who understands how accountants work, can identify system inefficiencies, and introduce practical solutions, shortcuts, and process improvements within Oracle Fusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong experience owning month-end close and general ledger processes
  • Proven background in Record to Report (R2R)
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementations or system transformations (Oracle Fusion strongly preferred; PeopleSoft experience required)
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge accounting and systems—translating technical functionality into practical, user-friendly solutions
  • Experience helping teams adapt to new systems, including improving adoption and identifying process efficiencies
  • Exposure to Payroll and Accounts Payable within an integrated ERP environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile, validate, and explain financial data across multiple systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transformation-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud implementations
  • Prior involvement in post-go-live stabilization and optimization
  • CPA and/or CISA credentials

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, while supporting a live ERP transition
  • Act as the accounting SME embedded within the Oracle Fusion implementation, partnering closely with finance and IT teams
  • Drive system adoption across accounting teams by identifying pain points, improving workflows, and introducing efficiencies and shortcuts within Oracle Fusion
  • Support the migration from PeopleSoft by leading general ledger reconciliations and validating data integrity across both systems
  • Assist with Chart of Accounts mapping and ensure alignment between legacy and future-state structures
  • Partner cross-functionally with upstream and downstream teams to resolve discrepancies, improve close timelines, and enhance overall process flow
  • Provide hands-on support during SIT/UAT testing, ensuring accounting outputs are accurate and aligned with expectations
  • Support key milestones including parallel close, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Maintain visibility into Payroll and Accounts Payable impacts and assist in troubleshooting system-related issues
  • Document R2R processes, controls, and accounting workflows within the Oracle Fusion environment, with a focus on scalability and user adoption
