About The Position
Fraser Valley Building Supplies (FVBS) is the largest RONA store operator in Western Canada, with 10 locations and counting. We've recently expanded through acquisition, and we're not slowing down. This is a role for a finance leader who wants a seat at the table while a company scales, moving beyond just keeping the lights on.
Requirements
- Accounting Diploma, Degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- CPA designation.
- 2+ years leading a finance team.
- Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment.
- Comfort with ERP systems.
- Genuine interest in Tech & AI that makes finance team work faster, smarter, and cleaner.
- Experience being part of a company acquisition or multi-location rollout.
- Ability to work in-office full-time.
- Organized, strong communication skills, and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
- Owning month-end and year-end close, reporting, and tax filings.
- Leading a team of five in AP/AR and supporting their career growth.
- Managing hands-on involvement in new store and acquisition integrations.
- Contributing new ideas on technology and automation to improve finance team operations.
- Partnering directly with the CFO on business-shaping initiatives.
