The Accounting Manager oversees the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and account reconciliations. This role manages the accounting team and partners with the Vice President of Finance on budgeting, auditing, and financial planning.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting
- At least 5yrs of Progressive Accounting Experience, as well as Leadership Experience
- Experience with ERP Systems, Databases, & Financial Reporting Tools (Microsoft Dynamics)
- Experience with GAAP Based Accounting Principles , Economic/Accounting Principles and Practices, Financial Markets, Banking, & the Analysis/Reporting of Financial Data
- Strong understanding of all functions of the typical accounting department, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and communicate effectively with upper management.
- Ability to explain and advise management on best financial practices, budgeting, profit and loss, and assist in making financial decisions for the company.
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial results and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Oversee daily accounting activities and month-end close.
- Administer company credit card programs.
- Evaluate and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Coordinate external audits and support regulatory reporting.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Support strategic financial initiatives led by the VP of Finance.
