About The Position

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all accounting functions , including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger accounting. The Accounting Manager will manage the accounting team to ensure accuracy in accounting operations, adherence to accounting processes and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder)
  • Broad general knowledge of all accounting/financial functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting/financial experience
  • Supervisory Experience required
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations
  • Experience with Government Contracts preferred
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and work directly with Accounts Payable specialist to ensure that accounting responsibilities are being met timely and accurately
  • Supervise month end closing process
  • Monthly Forecasting and annual budgeting and related analysis
  • Monitor collection of sales/use tax and associated filings
  • Approve weekly pay runs and cash control reconciliations
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders to develop and manage KPIs
  • Ensures compliance with all accounting policies and processes
  • Ensures compliance with all government contracting requirements
