Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years of professional accounting experience working with accounting principles and general ledger systems.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring accounting team members.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Financial accounting and general ledger management
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • ERP systems such as SAP
  • Fixed asset, lease, and expense accounting
  • Reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting activities across multiple company entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee fixed asset, lease, and telecommunications accounting functions.
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Monitor and analyze financial transactions to support accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to address accounting needs and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end journal entries and closing activities.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyze financial data and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with balance sheet reviews and financial analysis activities.
  • Provide support for audits, reporting requirements, and special financial projects.
  • Oversee billing-related activities and maintain accurate contract and customer information.
  • Monitor and update schedules related to notes payable and other financial obligations.
  • Review and process invoices, expenses, and payment requests in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses across departments and business units.
  • Maintain accurate supporting documentation and records.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of annual budgets.
  • Provide financial analysis to support business planning and operational decisions.
  • Prepare special reports, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses as requested by leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and financial processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounting department.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Staff Accountants and other assigned accounting personnel.
  • Delegate responsibilities and manage workflow to ensure deadlines and business objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor work quality and provide coaching, feedback, and performance support.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team environment.
  • Support training initiatives and knowledge sharing across the department.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Support compliance with regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Participate in department meetings and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and service excellence.

Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000 - $131,000/year dependant on experience.
