About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for designing and providing timely and accurate accounting information and reports. The purpose of the job is to provide financial accounting and reports to make sure that the management team is able to meet their financial goals and targets. He/she is working closely together with Financial Controllers, Regional Controllers, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury and BU Finance Staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of professional finance, accounting or budgeting and forecasting experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or CPA a plus
  • Proficient knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm and/or international company
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Longview, Power Point and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and provide timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting information according to the Darling Ingredients standards
  • Prepare and provide timely and accurate information and reports
  • Assist with forecast and budget process, including analysis and explanation of deviations on actuals
  • Maintain and support of the used financial systems
  • Assistance for development of Concur and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) reporting
  • Data mapping between JD Edwards and Hyperion systems
  • Prepare figures within HFM/HFP and explain differences
  • Prepare monthly figures and periodic reports
  • Prepare, perform and improve periodic closing process
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly SOX controls
  • Provide data and reporting on an ad-hoc and/or requested basis
  • Support the finance team where needed
  • Act as global SOX coordinator within the global Rousselot organization
  • Assist with ongoing training to business functions with respect to internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Contribute to the documentation and evaluation and remediation of control deficiencies
  • Participate on an as-needed basis for walkthroughs of key processes and controls to assess the design of key controls over financial reporting
  • Participate in projects.
