About The Position

The Accounting Manager serves as a technical accounting expert and operational leader responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This individual will oversee revenue recognition, drive the month-end close, and champion process improvements to enhance scalability and automation across the department. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Director of Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is required
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong proficiency with top-tier ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Data Visualization/Business Intelligence tools
  • Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm, with the ability to deliver a high level of customer service

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow analysis, while providing detailed revenue forecasts and variance explanations
  • Partner with Operations and Finance leadership to improve invoicing accuracy and provide strategic guidance on pricing models and new customer contracts
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Staff and Senior Accountants, managing workload distribution and fostering professional growth
  • Serve as the primary liaison for audits, preparing workpapers, revenue schedules, and footnote disclosures
  • Drive innovation within the accounting function by leading systems optimization and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce close timelines
  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets
  • Perform other related duties as required
