About The Position

The Accounting Manager serves as a technical accounting expert and operational leader responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This individual will oversee revenue recognition, drive the month-end close, and champion process improvements to enhance scalability and automation across the department. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Director of Finance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is required
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
Strong proficiency with top-tier ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Data Visualization/Business Intelligence tools
Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm, with the ability to deliver a high level of customer service

Responsibilities

Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow analysis, while providing detailed revenue forecasts and variance explanations
Partner with Operations and Finance leadership to improve invoicing accuracy and provide strategic guidance on pricing models and new customer contracts
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Staff and Senior Accountants, managing workload distribution and fostering professional growth
Serve as the primary liaison for audits, preparing workpapers, revenue schedules, and footnote disclosures
Drive innovation within the accounting function by leading systems optimization and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce close timelines
Maintain and enhance accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets
Perform other related duties as required
