Requirements

• Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.
• High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Accountant preferred.
• 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned accounting area(s) of the organization which is to process transactions, provide analysis and reporting, and to resolve escalated issues.
• Ensure transactions and the organization's requests are handled in a manner that achieves the optimal balance between cost/efficiency and service delivery.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve policies, procedures, and processes, templates necessary to support operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal control standards.
• Examine operational policies and make informed recommendations for process improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve escalated or complex Associate issues that require managerial intervention or involve other process areas.
• Report on Service Level Agreement metrics in order to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of process area.
• Emphasize key performance indicators and metrics for general accounting.
• Ensure delivery of business results by meeting or exceeding all contractual service level agreements and managing General Accounting costs.
• Monitor regulatory environment to stay abreast of compliance requirements and to propose internal control standards.
• Make recommendations for policy, plan and process modifications, implementing approved changes.
• Manage Accounting reporting requirements of assigned area(s).
• Utilize reporting tools to gain operational insight in order to identify and manage problems and propose resolutions.
