The Manager of Compensation Accounting is responsible for owning the calculation, administration, and accounting of commissions and billable bonus plans. This role is the business owner for incentive compensation accounting—ensuring commissions, bonuses, and stock-based compensation are calculated accurately, accrued timely, paid correctly, and supported by strong documentation and controls. In addition to incentive compensation, the role oversees related payroll and benefits accounting and serves as the primary point of contact for auditors for all compensation-related matters. This is a hands-on role for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in detail-heavy, deadline-driven environments.
