About The Position

Premier Tech, a world-class leader in industrial packaging equipment, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in Montgomery, Alabama. This role is crucial in managing financial operations and contributing to the company's growth. The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting team, oversee financial statement preparation, analyze financial results, coordinate audits, manage the budget process, and implement new accounting procedures. The role also involves overseeing project & construction accounting, managing intercompany & technical accounting, and mentoring accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and US GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Global perspective on financial mandates and business operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Thorough
  • Punctual

Responsibilities

  • Lead the accounting team in processing invoices for internal and external clients
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and monthly management reports
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain budget variances to senior management
  • Coordinate and support audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual budget process
  • Collaborate with North American team members across Logistics, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless financial operations
  • Implement and monitor new accounting procedures, driving process improvements
  • Oversee project & construction accounting including job cost reporting and WIP analysis (POC, cost-to-complete, margin) and identifying risks
  • Manage intercompany & technical accounting, including intercompany reconciliations, governance documentation, and support for revenue recognition/contract structures
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment
