About The Position

Accounting Manager The Accounting Manager is a key leadership role within the controllership organization, responsible for overseeing assigned accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. This role leads components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, manages and develops accounting staff, and partners cross‑functionally to support business objectives. The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a strong internal control environment and driving continuous improvement across accounting processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8–10 years experience in relevant field
  • Ability to meet close and reporting deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency and experience with enterprise resource planning and close management systems
  • Adaptability and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
  • Strong analytical judgment with a focus on control effectiveness and continuous improvement
  • Results‑oriented mindset balancing operational discipline with efficiency and innovation
  • Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation prepared by senior and staff accountants
  • Partner with finance, operations, technology, tax, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting matters and support business initiatives
  • Ensure effective design and execution of internal controls and serve as point of contact for internal and external audit requests within assigned areas
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting system enhancements and automation initiatives
  • Ensure accounting policies and procedures are documented, updated, and consistently applied
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop senior and staff accountants
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning for the accounting team
  • Job duties include additional responsibilities as assigned by one’s supervisor or other manager related to the position/department.
