Accounting Manager – Japanese Bilingual
About The Position
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including recording transactions, preparing financial statements, and supporting audit processes. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Japanese language proficiency and experience in a multinational or Japanese corporate environment are preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
- Ability to prepare financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Record vendor invoices in the general ledger.
- Process vendor payments accurately and on time.
- Prepare routine A/R and A/P reports and coordinate invoice approvals with department managers.
- Record issued invoices and customer payments in the general ledger.
- Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, loans, and accrued expenses, and post entries to the accounting system.
- Execute and review monthly closing activities while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Prepare and oversee consolidated financial statements and monthly reporting packages for headquarters.
- Perform fluctuation analysis for Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation.
- Review accounting operations and recommend process improvements.
- Enhance accounting systems and operational efficiency.
- Support accounting and financial projects in a dynamic business environment.
- Serve as an accounting resource and subject matter expert for internal teams.
