About The Position

This contract role offers an opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to step into a manager-level position while actively performing Senior-level preparer work. The Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant will focus on general ledger management, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities, while also contributing to process improvement initiatives and supporting ad-hoc requests. This position is ideal for someone with deep NetSuite and GAAP experience who enjoys hands-on work and collaborating closely with leadership in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of overall accounting experience with a strong focus on general ledger and month-end close.
  • 2–4 years of management-level experience, overseeing work quality and acting at a manager level, even without direct reports.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite financials, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and its application to financial reporting and balance sheet preparation.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and balance sheets.
  • CPA designation, public accounting experience, or relevant experience in the data center or SaaS industry.
  • Proven ability to work as a Senior preparer while collaborating with leadership on review and oversight.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and ensure they are accurate, complete, and properly supported in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.
  • Support the full month-end close cycle, including balance sheet and financial statement preparation and review.
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of accounting work at a manager level, acting as a Senior preparer while having work reviewed by leadership.
  • Assist with financial reporting activities, including preparation of internal financial statements and related schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes and controls and participate in implementing process improvements.
  • Respond to ad-hoc accounting and reporting requests, providing analysis and documentation as needed.
  • Leverage NetSuite and related financial systems to record, track, and report financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies across all assigned responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, growing organization to support accurate and timely financial information.
