About The Position

At SpendHQ, the Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting and maintaining compliance with all U.S. regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in supporting our finance operations across both our U.S. and French entities, coordinating audits, and implementing financial controls that support the company’s strategic goals. You’ll report directly to our finance leadership and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, high-growth SaaS environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience in SaaS or software companies preferred
  • CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience working with international entities a plus
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar ERP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Expertise in Accounting & Compliance – Solid understanding of GAAP with experience preparing consolidated financials. Comfortable working across entities, handling intercompany transactions, and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Analytical Strength – Sharp attention to detail with the ability to identify variances, analyze trends, and drive meaningful insights from financial data.
  • Hands-On Flexibility – Willing to jump in and support invoicing, payroll, or AP/AR processes when needed. You know when to lead and when to roll up your sleeves.
  • Strong Systems Skills – Proficient in accounting platforms like NetSuite or QuickBooks Enterprise, with advanced Excel capabilities. Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
  • Project and Process Orientation – Comfortable leading or contributing to cross-functional initiatives, such as improving close processes, implementing controls, or supporting system upgrades.
  • Clear Communication – Able to translate financial concepts for non-finance teams. Strong collaboration skills with both local and international colleagues.
  • High Standards & Integrity – Dependable, trustworthy, and committed to accuracy. You take pride in producing high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute monthly close tasks, including complex account reconciliations and variance analysis for both U.S. and France operations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support ad hoc reporting needs, including lender packages and internal management reports.
  • Coordinate external audits and manage tax-related filings to ensure full compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with sales and payroll tax registrations and compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Provide support on federal and state tax matters as they arise.
  • Collaborate with the team to support customer invoicing, collections, accounts payable processing, and monthly U.S. payroll when needed.
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects such as process improvements, system enhancements, and the implementation of financial controls.
