About The Position

The Accounting Manager will assume complete day-to-day ownership of US and global financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and corporate compliance operations. Stationed in India, this professional bridges global execution gaps by directly supervising outsourced bookkeeping services, streamlining core transactional cycles (AP, AR, and complex global Payroll), and serving as the primary readiness engine for external US CPAs, auditors, and insurance brokers.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, corporate compliance requirements, and supporting US-based entities with accuracy and rigor.
  • Highly proficient in QuickBooks Online and/or Enterprise, with hands-on experience managing accounting operations and financial reporting.
  • Experience working across modern finance systems such as Salesforce, Bill.com, and Navan, and understand how to drive efficient, scalable workflows across platforms.
  • Operate with a high degree of ownership, attention to detail, and accountability, while partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and scale finance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end month-end close and consolidation process; prepare timely, accurate financial statements fully compliant with US GAAP.
  • Directly manage and review the activities of the existing India-based bookkeeping service to ensure impeccable data hygiene across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and complex global journal entries.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Operations (RevOps) to ensure deals closed in Salesforce contain all necessary documentation to flawlessly execute customer invoicing, accurate revenue recognition (ASC 606), and proactive cash collection.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain robust documentation for federal and state income tax, corporate franchise tax, and state sales tax compliance; act as the central operational interface for external US tax CPAs.
  • Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready schedules for US corporate insurance policies (including D&O, E&O, Cyber, and General Liability) and coordinate annual workers' compensation audits.
  • Develop clean, standardized audit workpapers, reconciliations, and schedules to maximize internal efficiencies, minimize year-end advisory costs, and expedite external reviews.
  • Maintain a consistent, agreed-upon partial shift overlap with US operations to ensure fluid cross-border collaboration, timely issue resolution, and operational synchronization.
