About The Position

Manages the accounting operation functions of the organization and the preparation of all financial reports reflecting earnings, balance sheet, profits, cash balances, and other financial results. Formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to assure the financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Excel
  • Microsoft suite of products
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree and/or CPA certification preferred
  • Experience with Oracle EBS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Has complete oversight in maintaining the organization’s general ledgers, trial balance, and balance reports to prepare operating results up to a consolidated statement.
  • Perform period closing cycle activities including analysis of budget variances and preparation of monthly financial statements and statistics.
  • Responsible for accuracy of the general ledger and preparation of account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for cash management, bank account reconciliation, tracking of investments, and providing related reports to Controller and CFO
  • Manage, oversee, and journalize inter-company transactions and Cap Corp (Delaware holding company)
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable and backup positions during absences.
  • Jointly coordinate with outside auditors and provide requested information for annual external audits/reviews.
  • Jointly maintain integrity of reporting and data for the ERP system (Oracle EBS), including the development of new reports.
  • Maintain accounts payable database to facilitate the annual 1099 process and issue 1099/945 filings.
  • Jointly maintain stock transactions for semi-annual dividend payments and the processing of stock sales and stock ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with the administration of the various insurance policies for the business.
  • Help manage systems and process improvement projects.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal taxes/regulations/requirements.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with internal and external deadlines.
  • Supervise staff consisting of two Accounting Clerks
