About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading all accounting and financial reporting activities at the manufacturing site. This role ensures accurate financial records, supports operational decision-making, maintains strong internal controls, and partners with plant leadership to improve profitability and operational performance. The Accounting Manager oversees the monthly close process, cost accounting, inventory valuation, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing accounting or cost accounting experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience with forecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Larger ERP systems accounting experience (Oracle Cloud experience preferred).
  • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office and Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and advanced Excel skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) plus years’ experience in Manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, industrial products, consumer goods, food processing, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting capital projects and fixed asset accounting.
  • Experience with standard costing, BOMs (Bills of Materials), routings, and production reporting.
  • Experience with EPM (OneStream, Oracle) consolidation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and corporate accounting policies.
  • Analyze financial results and explain variances to budget and forecast.
  • Oversee standard costing and product cost analysis.
  • Maintain the integrity of inventory valuation and costing methodologies.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, and overhead.
  • Support annual standard cost updates and cost roll processes.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting of inventory.
  • Partner with plant operations to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Provide financial analysis for production efficiency, scrap, labor utilization, and overhead absorption.
  • Support capital investment evaluations and ROI analyses.
  • Participate in operational meetings and provide financial guidance to plant leadership.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and financial projections.
  • Monitor spending against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support long-range financial planning.
  • Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX requirements (if applicable), and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls.
