About The Position

The Accounting Manager will manage and oversee accounting operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable regulations. This role involves leading and supervising accounting team members responsible for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial accounting functions. The manager will prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards. Key responsibilities include managing general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. The position also involves monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting cash flow, current financial balances, and business performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management. Developing short-term and long-term cash flow plans and identifying opportunities for continuous financial improvement are crucial. The role oversees accounts payable processes, including expense classification, departmental coding accuracy, and timely payment processing, as well as accounts receivable activities, including invoice generation, payment tracking, collection progress, and timely receipt of customer payments. Leading annual and periodic budgeting processes, preparing company budgets based on business objectives, and creating and updating revenue and profitability forecasts are also key duties. The manager will analyze budget versus actual performance, provide financial insights and reports to management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial planning. Sharing financial knowledge and best practices across the organization and ensuring compliance with internal policies, including environmental, health, and safety requirements, are expected. This role also includes managing accounting staff, coordinating annual financial audits, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 10 years of accounting management experience.
Strong experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting.
Proven experience developing company budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term business plans.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards.
Ability to work effectively in an international, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising and developing accounting staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate alternatives and make sound business decisions.
High level of integrity, business judgment, and ability to maintain confidential information.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and external partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and financial/accounting systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to prepare clear and effective financial reports and presentations.
Ability to work in a general office environment with extended computer use and standard office activities.
