The Accounting Manager will manage and oversee accounting operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable regulations. This role involves leading and supervising accounting team members responsible for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial accounting functions. The manager will prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards. Key responsibilities include managing general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. The position also involves monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting cash flow, current financial balances, and business performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management. Development and maintenance of short-term and long-term cash flow plans, and identification of opportunities for continuous financial improvement are also crucial. The role requires overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, leading annual and periodic budgeting processes, creating and updating revenue and profitability forecasts, and analyzing budget versus actual performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve financial planning and sharing financial knowledge across the organization are expected. Ensuring compliance with internal policies, including environmental, health, and safety requirements, and managing accounting staff are also key duties. The manager will coordinate and manage annual and interim financial audits and perform other duties and projects as assigned.
