$110,000 - $130,000Hybrid

About The Position

SMG ABA LLC is hiring an onsite Accounting Manager - Mergers and Acquisitions (Senior Level) to lead our mergers & acquisitions efforts as we expand this capability. This role exists to keep transactions moving—bringing structure, clarity, and technical accounting/tax insight from early diligence through integration. The role involves owning M&A deal execution, coordinating due diligence, applying GAAP and IRC structuring knowledge, planning and driving post-merger integration, and leading communication with partners and external advisors. Additionally, the manager will develop staff and train others in QuickBooks. The typical day involves starting onsite at 300 Corporate Plaza in Islandia, aligning priorities, and scanning deal calendars. During active transactions, the focus will be on data-room requests, calls with attorneys/bankers, and quick turnarounds for partner review, with plans resetting as new information arrives. During lighter deal flow, the role shifts to internal firm operations support, tightening processes, and keeping documentation deal-ready. Expect regular stakeholder updates, follow-ups, and clear written summaries.
