About The Position

In this unique Accounting Manager role, you will work closely with Financial Reporting, Corporate Financial Planning and Merchandise Finance to ensure a reasonable forecast of and accurate accounting for inventory valuation with a focus on vendor income. You will complete SAP journal entries and facilitate timely and accurate month-end close routines in compliance with SOX guidelines. You will be a key member of the cross-functional team responsible for implementation of modern technology solutions, and you will be responsible for development and documentation of related accounting and control processes. You will have an opportunity to strengthen your analytical skills through recurring and ad-hoc analysis. You will develop strong relationships to influence internal and external partners and provide client support to teams across the company, including Merchandising, Business Partnerships & Negotiations, Merchandise Finance, Finance Capabilities and Corporate Financial Planning. You will indirectly manage talent by coaching and training others on the team. You will drive innovation and analytics to improve complex processes and maintain a strong internal control environment. Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant business experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards, SOX requirements and financial acumen, including data driven decision making
  • Strong business partner able to collaborate with teams across the organization
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to translate complex, detailed topics to a higher level message for partners and leadership
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High level of independence, curiosity and initiative
  • Ability to be resilient and adaptable, working through challenges in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
