About The Position

The Accounting Intern will support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with daily accounting operations. This role is designed for a student or recent graduate looking to bridge the gap between classroom theory and professional practice. You will gain exposure to full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls while working under the direct supervision of our senior accounting staff.

Requirements

Must be a current student of an accredited college or university.
Strong interest in pursuing a career in Accounting, Finance or a related business field.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic formulas).
Ability to spot discrepancies in large datasets and maintain high levels of accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with strict confidentiality.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with accounting software is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of daily and entry of daily month-end transactions.
Learn and perform the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards and ledgers to ensure data accuracy.
Support the processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and customer billing.
Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
Organize and provide documentation for internal and external audit requests.
Maintain physical and digital filing systems to ensure all financial records are compliant and accessible.
