About The Position

The Accounting Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the finance and accounting team by assisting with various accounting tasks and gaining practical experience in financial operations. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is preferred.
  • Previous internship or work experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements and reports.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes by verifying and processing invoices and payments.
  • Help maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Conduct data entry and assist with the analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or trends.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities under supervision.
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to information requests from auditors.
