About The Position

Trinity Property Consultants is seeking a motivated accounting intern for a 90-day internship in its accounting department. The role is designed for a rising college senior seeking hands-on experience in property management accounting and month-end close. The intern will work alongside the accounting team on recurring workflows across the company’s property portfolio and report to the Controller. This is an in-office position for candidates local to Orange County, California. The schedule is flexible around the intern’s class schedule, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. Compensation is $18 to $19 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Be a rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Have completed coursework in financial accounting.
• Have basic knowledge of Excel.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for the full 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Intermediate accounting coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations by matching bank activity to the general ledger and investigating reconciling items.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and research variances.
• Process and record check deposits.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Review general ledger activity and prepare reclassification entries for mis-posted transactions.
• Assist with month-end close tasks and other projects as assigned.
