About The Position
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Intern. This role involves preparing accounting reports, learning insurance accounting principles, assisting in the development of automated accounting systems, utilizing computer data for problem-solving, and providing management with decision-making reports.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and entering junior or senior year in college.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the spring semester (January - May).
- Above-average communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to resolve complex issues.
- Organize and interpret data.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting reports for federal and state agencies.
- Learn to use and understand insurance accounting principles.
- Assist in developing automated accounting systems from manual operations.
- Utilize computer stored data for problem solving.
- Provide management with reports that can be used in decision making.
